PT/Raider Team Commander, 1SG Salazar

The Army JROTC Raider Team is one of the most physically challenging and rewarding extracurricular activities within JROTC. Designed to build endurance, teamwork, and leadership, Raider competitions test cadets’ strength, stamina, and determination through demanding events such as obstacle courses, rucksack runs, land navigation, rope bridges, and team challenges.

Participation in Raiders pushes cadets beyond their comfort zones, fostering resilience, discipline, and confidence. Success depends not only on individual grit but also on the ability to work together as a cohesive unit under pressure—mirroring the values of leadership and camaraderie at the heart of JROTC.

Whether training for competition or striving for personal growth, Raider Team members embody the Army values of loyalty, duty, and perseverance. Joining the team means embracing a spirit of toughness, unity, and excellence that extends far beyond the field.
